Biman Roy Brings the Energy and Diversity of New York to Life in “Miss Manhattan”

Biman Roy has spent over three decades crafting poetry that blends imagination, observation, and emotional depth. A practicing psychiatrist and hospital consultant in New York, Roy lives in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He is the author of the chapbooks “Of Moon and Washing Machine,” “Dinosaur Hour,” “Navigating the Quartz Forest,” and now “Miss Manhattan,” which reflects his keen insight into human experience and the urban landscape.

Drawing on his deep connection to city life, Roy’s latest work, “Miss Manhattan,” will be showcased at the London Book Fair 2026 through The Maple Staple Bookstore, returning for its third year at Booth 6A100. The collection captures the simultaneity and richness of New York City, portraying the tumbling, layered experiences of its people, sounds, and movements with clarity, joy, and creative force.
