Chaplain Norma Mousoulias Presents “Normita: How She Helped God Spread Love Around the World”

Families and young readers are invited to meet Chaplain Norma J. Mousoulias for a special book signing at The Reading Glass Books in Quaker Bridge Mall on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Mousoulias will be signing her beloved children’s book, “Normita: How She Helped God Spread Love Around the World,” as well as its Spanish edition, “Normita: Cómo Ayudó a Dios a Difundir Su Amor por el Mundo.”

Drawing from her life as a daughter, mother, grandmother, and minister, Mousoulias brings faith and compassion to life through Normita’s story. Born into the life of a migrant worker, Normita travels with her Abuelita from orchard to vineyard, discovering that simple acts—like helping others with their work or sharing fruits—can carry God’s love to those around her.

As Normita grows, her journey of service and kindness continues, ultimately guiding her toward becoming both a nurse and a minister. Through playful challenges, thoughtful lessons from her Abuelita, and everyday acts of compassion, she learns that every child has the power to make a difference and spread God’s love in the world.

Mousoulias’ own story of faith, family, and caregiving enriches the book with authenticity and heart. Born in Texas and raised as a migrant worker, she settled in Toledo, Ohio, where she built a life with her husband of 51 years, raising two children and cherishing four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Through her writing, she shares the timeless message that every child is wonderfully made, deeply loved, and called to live with hope and courage.

This signing at The Reading Glass Books offers an opportunity for families to explore both the English and Spanish editions of Normita’s story and meet the author behind a tale that celebrates faith, service, and the joy of giving.
