  • Lancia Spain launches its own competition team, starring the latest generation vehicle that has led to Lancia Corse’s historic return to the WRC (World Rally Championship).
  • 30 years later, the Italian brand returns with the Asturian driver to the stages of the national championship, where he boasts a glorious track record, which includes more than a dozen titles.
  • Sports&You, official distributor of Stellantis Motorsport for Spain and Portugal, will offer technical support to the structure, which will start next week, at the Rally La Nucía (Alicante).

Lancia España joins the S-CER (Spanish Rally Superchampionship) this season with a sports programme managed through its own official team, Lancia Corse Spain, which will put the latest generation Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale in the competition. The vehicle with which Lancia Corse has just signed its long-awaited return to the WRC (World Rally Championship).

The new competition variant created by Lancia Spain is betting on Diego Ruiloba and Ángel Vela, runners-up in the 2024 S-CER (Spanish Rally Superchampionship) and rookies in the 2025 WRC (World Rally Championship), as protégés of Stellantis Motorsport.

30 years after winning its last title in our country, Lancia returns to the forefront of national motorsport with its own sports structure, which will be supported at a technical level by Sports&You, official distributor of Stellantis Motorsport for Spain and Portugal.

The premiere of the new squad promoted by Lancia Spain will take place next week, at the opening round of the S-CER (Spanish Rally Superchampionship) 2026, the Rally La Nucía (Alicante).

Distrigo, Pirelli, Total Energies, Quartz and Volan FAPA are the sponsors that support the Lancia Corse Spain program. The competition team with which the Italian brand returns to the national rally series, where it holds more than a dozen titles.

That path was started by Jorge de Bagration, Spanish Asphalt Rally Champion in 1979 and 1981, with a Lancia Stratos HF. Subsequently, drivers such as Salvador Servià, Juan Carlos Oñoro, Gustavo Trelles or Jesús Puras also contributed to building the brand’s legacy on the national stages, at the wheel of such emblematic vehicles as the Lancia Rally 037, the Lancia Delta S4 or the Lancia Delta HF Integrale.

Diego Ruiloba, Lancia Corse Spain driver: “I am very excited to be part of such a prestigious firm as Lancia. I’m really looking forward to getting into the new Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, and giving one hundred percent, both for the team and for the brand I’m going to represent. I’m sure we’ll fight to win from the first meter.”
