Schiphol Fund awards over 100,000 to nineteen clubs in the region
During the first of four donation rounds in 2026, the Schiphol Fund awarded more than 100,000 to nineteen (sports) clubs in the region that contribute to vitality, sports participation and a thriving community life.
The donations were presented during a festive ceremony by Simone Boitelle and Willemijn Ruedisulj, board members of the fund.
The largest donation this round went to Moby Dick in Beverwijk for the purchase of two pieces of playground equipment. The playground will receive 6,655.
Several tennis clubs will also receive a donation from the Schiphol Fund for the construction of padel courts and there is a table tennis club that can use the donation to purchase a robot. This table tennis robot launches 100 balls at a player in a short period of time, allowing them to train and improve their stroke precision. Other donations are for the purchase of a flat-bottomed boat and stand-up paddleboards.
The Schiphol Fund was set up in 1994 at the initiative of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and with the aim of demonstrating the airports social commitment to the local community. Every year the Schiphol Fund receives a donation from the airport and supports projects related to physical activity and sport.
