Introducing H&M&REDSTAGE: H&M and GIVĒON unite to celebrate style, sound and emerging musical talent

H&M is launching H&M&REDSTAGE, a new music initiative exploring how style and fashion shape artistic expression and identity. The project brings established global artists together with rising stars to create new renditions of major tracks in a pioneering exploration of style and sound.

WEBWIRE

H&M has a rich connection to the world of music, with a history of collaborating with global icons beloved for their personal style across concerts, collections and cultural moments. With H&M&REDSTAGE, H&M continues this celebrated legacy of musical partnerships in a genre-defying format — beginning with one of contemporary R&B’s most distinctive voices, GIVĒON.

For the inaugural H&M&REDSTAGE, eight-time Grammy-nominated American R&B singer and songwriter GIVĒON serves as the central creative force, collaborating with H&M to bring his musical world to life. As part of the project, GIVĒON personally invited two rising artists — Absolutely and Dhee — to reinterpret his songs through their own artistic lens, creating new perspectives on his work.

Dhee, a genre-blending experimental vocalist from Australia redefining perceptions of South Asian music, delivers a rendition of GIVĒON’s “Like I Want You.” London-born Absolutely, known for blending diverse influences with a dynamic vocal range, reimagines GIVĒON’s “Heartbreak Anniversary.” Alongside these interpretations, GIVĒON will also release newly recorded versions of his own tracks, “Rather Be” and “Twenties,” further anchoring the project in his artistic vision.

“Just like fashion, music has always been a space for self-expression. It brings people together and creates a sense of freedom, where individuality and belonging exist side by side. For H&M, ‘liberate fashion for the many’ is about more than clothes – it’s about access, inclusion, and giving people the freedom to express who they are. Supporting emerging talent across culture is part of that journey, and H&M&REDSTAGE is the next step.”

– Jörgen Andersson, Chief Creative Officer, H&M

“I’m so grateful that Dhee and Absolutely agreed to be a part of this special journey. Seeing my work through their eyes was beautiful, surprising and enriching. It made me fall in love with my songs all over again. The energy in the studio was incredible to witness.”

– GIVĒON

“I’ve always said that music is the love of my life. For that reason, I adored this project, which is a real homage to the special musical differences that make each artist themselves. I’m so grateful to be a part of this.”

– Dhee

“It is such an honour to offer my special twist of ‘Heartbreak Anniversary’. I view my music as a translation of everything that goes on in my mind: all different influences and experiences. So, this project was special to me, as it was about exploring identity, and what makes us unique, as artists, and as people.”

– Absolutely

The first H&M&REDSTAGE recordings will launch on Spotify and Apple Music on 13 March.
