€1.6 million raised to safeguard the museum’s heritage

The Musée du Louvre welcomed nearly 300 distinguished guest who gathered in support of the institution for the latest edition of its annual Grand Dîner.

With the renewed support of Visa, founding partner of the Grand Dîner, which has committed to accompany the Louvre for the next three editions by financing its organisation, this year’s reception was held in the Daru Gallery, at the foot of the Winged Victory of Samothrace. On the theme of ’ Le Louvre, la nuit’, guests were offered a unique journey through some of the museum’s most beautiful galleries.

With gratitude to its patrons and numerous supporters, the Louvre is delighted to announce that it has surpassed its fundraising objective, raising €1.6 million. These funds will contribute to the preservation and safeguarding of the museum’s heritage.

The Louvre would once again like to extend its heartfelt thanks to all participants who have chosen to support this initiative again this year and who were keen to show their support for the museum.

In March 2025, the Musée du Louvre inaugurated a new format for its Grand Dîner, coinciding with the Louvre Couture exhibition. This inaugural edition was a success, raising €1.4 million thanks to the participation of patrons of the museum, including major fashion houses, groups, and companies, as well as celebrities and philanthropists.

Held each year on the opening day of Paris Fashion Week, which brings together numerous designers, talents, and personalities, the Grand Dîner is included in the official calendar of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode. For this special event, as with the first edition, Anne-Sophie Pic, the Most Michelin-starred female chef in the world, crafted an exclusive created a unique menu for all the Grand Dîner.
