NFL Player Engagement Announces 2026 Offseason Programs
Highlighted by Broadcast & Media Workshop, programs introduce active players and Legends to opportunities outside of football
NFL Player Engagement, in partnership with the NFL Players Association, announced today the launch of a series of dynamic offseason programs designed to support player development and expand career opportunities for current players and Legends. These programs, aimed at inspiring, educating and empowering players, will provide valuable resources for both on-field and off-field success.
Career development opportunities in March begin with the NFL x Hidden Empire Film Group x Skydance Career Tour in Santa Monica, California from March 3-6, where participants will have the opportunity to create, write, film, act, and produce a short film while working alongside top industry professionals from Disney Animation, Skydance Sports, Hidden Empire Film Group and Sony, an official technology partner of the NFL. In the fourth year of the program hosted by the Hidden Empire Film Group, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward and NFL Legends Martellus Bennett and Ephraim Salaam will participate in panels while the below Legends and current players are set to attend (as of Friday, Feb. 27, subject to change):

From March 10-11, the NFL x Universal Music/Interscope Tour in Los Angeles will provide participants with hands-on experience and explore career opportunities in the music industry.
From March 17-18 in Atlanta, the Public Speaking Workshop will feature renowned motivational speaker and author Eric Thomas. As participants work on building confidence and communication skills, they’ll discover how to speak with more clarity, purpose, and impact, ensuring their message truly connects with others.
The NFL Bizweek Workshop, in partnership with Syracuse University, will take place in New York from March 25-27 will focus on personal finance and career growth beyond sports. Participants will visit organizations and learn from experts at Nike, NYSE, Ramp, RXR and the NFL.
The Broadcasting & Media Workshop will take place from April 7-9 in Los Angeles. The activation will equip participants with media skills for careers in sports broadcasting, including on-air presentation and production. Open to current players and Legends, this program provides the opportunity to develop media skills and explore related careers under the guidance of industry experts. Through hands-on training and expert mentorship, participants will gain valuable experience in storytelling, on-air presentation and production. By the end of the program, they will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a successful career in sports media.
The NFL will also continue its commitment to social impact with the Social Justice Town Hall on April 21 at the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, where current and former professional athletes, educators, thought leaders, seasoned businesspeople, and entrepreneurs engage in dialogue focused on creating strategies and plans to directly impact Pittsburgh and the surrounding metro area.
Additionally, a series of virtual webinars—including the Fitness Webinar on April 14 and AI Webinar on April 28 and—will provide Legends and players with the opportunity to learn valuable tips and receive expert guidance in both the health and wellness industry and artificial intelligence.
The Personal Branding & Social Media Workshop in Inglewood, California, on June 22-24, will conclude the offseason programs, offering participants the opportunity to learn how to enhance their personal brand and maximize their social media presence.
