Recommendation & ‘Very Good’: eSILEX+ 600 shines in the ElektroRad mega test

Our eSILEX gravel bike with a Mahle X30 rear hub motor impressed in the recently published German ElektroRad mega test (10/2026). In addition to receiving a ’Very Good’ rating, it also secured a recommendation from the editorial team.

With its 47-millimetre-wide 27.5” Maxxis Rambler tyres, the eSILEX offers comfort and safety on a variety of terrains. This allows it to manoeuvre ’nimble through zigzag curves’. The eSILEX+ 600 also proved to be a ‘strong climber’ in the test, with the Mahle X30 providing quiet, linear and natural support with 45 Nm of torque. Thanks to its central seating position, the eSILEX+ offers a ‘distinctly sporty posture with a lot of pressure on the handlebars’.

The low weight of the eSILEX+ 600 was also rated extremely positively. Its airy weight of just 14.6 kilograms was ‘impressive’ and delighted the editorial team.
