Moeve Leads S&P’s European Sustainability Ranking in its Sector for the Third Consecutive Year

• The energy company has earned its second-highest score ever in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), a leading international ESG benchmark
• It also retains its global leadership in its sector in another major ESG ranking recently published by Clarity AI and has been recognized in the Leadership category of CDP Climate

Moeve has once again been named the European leader in its sector in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) ranking, marking its third consecutive year in the top position. The company secured the top spot in its sector in Europe and ranks third worldwide, standing out for its excellence in climate management, supply chain oversight, and risk and crisis management, as well as for its strong business ethics and tax strategy.

Many of the strengths highlighted in the company’s 76 out of 100 score are embedded in its 2030 roadmap, Positive Motion, which aims to position Moeve as a benchmark in the energy transition and a leading European provider of green molecules, sustainable mobility, and sustainable chemicals. Other contributing factors include transparency, reflected in its annual Integrated Management Report (IMR), which details the progress of all its initiatives and provides in-depth reporting on sustainability targets. Key milestones include advancing the circular economy and promoting responsible water use.

In other ESG rankings, Moeve remains the global leader in its sector for the fourth consecutive year by Clarity AI. It is also ranked in the Leadership category by CDP in the areas of water security and climate management and recognized as an A-list member in supplier engagement.

The energy company and its Moeve Chemicals division also hold the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, placing them among the top 1% of 50,000 companies worldwide for sustainability performance. In addition, Moeve Chemicals has just received the National Industry Award for Environmental, Social and Governance Impact for its Track and Trace project.

These ratings and recognitions reinforce Moeve’s roadmap, which places sustainability at the heart of its corporate strategy and positions talent as the driving force behind its transformation. On the sustainability front, the company has exceeded its freshwater management target, reducing water withdrawal in water-stressed areas by 21% compared with 2019 levels. Looking ahead to 2028, Moeve aims to cut freshwater withdrawal by 25% versus 2019, expanding the effort across its global operations. In terms of talent, after surpassing its commitment to ensure that at least 30% of leadership roles are held by women, Moeve now aims to reach 40% by 2030.
