Introducing Bio PVC From Integrated Printing Solutions

Centennial, CO March 8, 2007 - Integrated Printing Solutions (IPS) announced today that they are now offering a new biodegradable PVC. This new formula will allow the biodegradation of manufactured PVC plastics, including whites, clears, colors, fluorescents and transparents. Biodegradable PVC can be used for all types of cards including gift, credit, loyalty, insurance and more.
“We have numerous customers interested in a biodegradable PVC product. Many companies are going ‘green’ and IPS wants to support this initiative and do all we can to support the environment and help our customers do the same,” says Sev Spagnolie, President and CEO of Integrated Printing Solutions.
Using a trade secret component, a formula has been created for standard PVC products. This new formula will biodegrade in six months to five years. No biodegradation takes place until the product is in a fertile environment (sustained contact with the ground). Testing is continuing but after one year, the biodegradable PVC performs equal to regular PVC material.
