About the Author

R. B. Hatch grew up on a small farm in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, during a time when most farms were humble and life was shaped by the seasons. He vividly remembers the arrival of electricity and the simple joys and challenges of rural living.
 

After serving in the Canadian Army, he settled in Alberta, where he met Bev, the woman who would become his wife and life partner. Together, they pursued their shared dream of farming, eventually moving to the Peace River Region of northern Alberta.
 

Over the years, Hatch took on various jobs to support his family, from ore trucking to managing grain operations. Writing has always been his creative outlet, a way to revisit youthful dreams and give voice to the stories shaped by his experiences. Now retired due to health reasons, he writes full time, drawing inspiration from the land, memory, and imagination. His work reflects a deep connection to rural life and a curiosity about the extraordinary hidden within the ordinary.
