Stars and Renowned Directors at Berlinale 2026

Outstanding filmmakers are expected in Berlin for the 76th Berlinale. At the Opening Gala, the highly acclaimed director and screenwriter Sean Baker will deliver the laudatory speech for Honorary Golden Bear recipient Michelle Yeoh. Composer Max Richter will be honoured with the Berlinale Camera; the speech will be given by Oscar-, Golden Globe-, and BAFTA-winning director Chloé Zhao, with whom he most recently collaborated on the film Hamnet. Wim Wenders serves as President of the International Jury.

Among those expected to attend the premieres of the festival films are Sandra Hüller (Rose), Juliette Binoche, Tom Courtenay and Florence Hunt (Queen at Sea), Isabelle Huppert (The Blood Countess), Ethan Hawke (The Weight), Neil Patrick Harris and Bella Ramsey (Sunny Dancer), Sam Rockwell, Juno Temple, Zazie Beetz and Haley Lu Richardson (Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die), Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan (Josephine) and John Turturro (The Only Living Pickpocket in New York).

A selection of the prominent on screen talent confirmed to attend includes Pamela Anderson, Amanda Seyfried, Hiam Abbass, Mehar Bano, Charli xcx, Miyu Irino, Anders Danielsen Lie, Lars Eidinger, Rasti Farooq, Rob Halford, Birgit Minichmayr, Sophie Okonedo, Sam Riley, Carice van Houten, Rupert Grint, Seidi Haarla, Luna Wedler, Max Riemelt, Earl Cave and James Norton.
