Polestar improves public charging offer across Europe
- Plug & Charge now available at over 28,000 charging stations
- Tesla Superchargers fully integrated into the Polestar Charge app
- Polestar Charge offers access to over 1 million charging points across Europe
Polestar continues to strengthen its public charging offer in Europe, with access to over 28,000 Plug & Charge compatible charging stations and full integration of Tesla Superchargers into the Polestar Charge app.
Plug & Charge technology allows the car to communicate directly with the charger itself, and payment is processed directly – removing multiple steps from the traditional process and making public charging completely hassle-free. Plug & Charge is included as a complimentary benefit when using Polestar Charge and available at over 28,000 compatible charging stations across Europe, including Ionity, Allego and Mer*.
To further support a seamless and convenient charging experience, Polestar is one of the first OEMs to fully integrate Tesla Superchargers into its own app. Drivers can now easily access over 20,000 Superchargers at more than 1,500 locations, directly via Polestar Charge without having to switch to another app to check availability or start a charging session. Tesla Supercharger real-time availability is also visible in Polestar in-car navigation with Google Maps, for optimal route planning.
Olivier Loedel, Head of Product Software Management at Polestar, says: “With Polestar Charge we give our customers access to one of the biggest charging networks in Europe. By expanding Plug & Charge and fully integrating Tesla Superchargers, we’re improving our premium seamless charging experience even further. Our strong charging offer, integrated with the in-car navigation in Google Maps, sets us apart from many competitors.”
Polestar Charge offers access to more than 1 million charging points, all accessible in one app, making it one of Europe’s largest public charging networks. Combined with the EV optimisation and Polestar Charge payment method within Google Maps, this helps drivers plan optimal charging stops along a route. Available in all Polestar markets across Europe**, Polestar Charge includes a mix of large regional operators such as IONITY, Recharge, Total, Fastned, Tesla Superchargers and Allego, as well as local providers in each market to enable the best possible public charging offer to local users.
In addition, with the Polestar Charge subscription offer, Polestar drivers can benefit from discounted fast charging at more than 80,000 charging points, across 42 charge operators. The number of Polestar Charge users are growing, with more than 45,000 users in 2025, a 30% increase from 2024.

At non compatible Plug & Charge public charging stations, Polestar 2 MY26 and Polestar 3 drivers can of course still rely on and use Polestar Charge App and/or Polestar Charge card to initiate their public charging session.
**Polestar Charge is available in all Polestar markets across Europe, except Portugal. The Polestar Charge subscription service is available to Polestar drivers in the following markets in Europe: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
Since 2020, Polestar 2 drivers in Europe have had access to public chargers within the Plugsurfing network, and special discounts on pricing.
