About the Author
Gwendolyne Walter is a graduate of Prairie View A & M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and later received teacher certification for the State of Texas. She taught for 11 years in the Houston Independent School District.
For the past 25 years, she has served the City of Houston Public Library as the Safety and Wellness Manager, bringing decades of leadership, mentoring, and community-centered service into her work with young people and families.
Gwendolyne also serves as the Elect Lady of the Evangelism Department of the T exas Central Metropolitan Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), under the leadership of Jurisdictional Prelate Bishop Frank E. Fanniel, Sr. and Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women Mother Gladys Lockett-Ross.
