With over 2.4 million registrations and a 16% market share, Stellantis closes 2025 as the second-largest OEM in the EU30 automotive market

AMSTERDAM – WEBWIRE
  • Stellantis registered 2,421,571 vehicles [1] (PC+LCV) in 2025, reaffirming its strong second position among OEMs in the EU30 automotive market.
  • Stellantis firmly maintained the top spot in the strategic hybrid* vehicle segment with a 15% market share, thanks to the successful launch of key models such as Citroën C3 and C3 Aircross, FIAT Grande Panda, the new Citroën C5 Aircross, the new Jeep Compass, and the new Opel/Vauxhall Frontera.
  • Stellantis also confirmed its traditional leadership in commercial vehicles with a 28.6% market share. Fiat Professional Ducato confirms its leadership as the best-selling model within the Stellantis Pro One lineup, recording a +0.4 pp increase compared to 2024. Meanwhile, the Compact Van family – comprising Citroën Berlingo, Fiat Professional Doblò, Opel/Vauxhall Combo, and Peugeot Partner/Rifter – is the best seller in its segment, commanding a remarkable 49.3% market share.
  • Stellantis ranks No. 1 in the A-segment with FIAT Panda and No. 2 in the B-SUV segment, while Peugeot 208 and 2008 both feature among EU30 Top 10 best-sellers. In the B-hatch segment, Stellantis boasts three models among the Top 6, and Peugeot 3008 confirms its success as one of the Top 5 in the C-SUV segment, posting an impressive +22.6% growth versus 2024.
  • Stellantis ranked No. 1 in total sales (PC+LCV) in France, Italy and Portugal, and No. 2 in Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Austria and the Belux region. Sales grew in five of the ten largest markets (Austria, Belux, Poland, Portugal and Spain).
  • End-customer orders rose significantly compared to 2024, accelerating in the second half of the year (+8%) and surging even more sharply in the final quarter (+16%). The order bank also expanded substantially (+10% vs. 2024).

In a European market still marked by persistent uncertainty and a shortfall of around 3 million units compared to 2019, Stellantis has reaffirmed its key role among OEMs, leveraging its traditional strengths while finding new growth drivers.

Emanuele Cappellano, COO Stellantis Enlarged Europe, stated:
“Despite ongoing market turbulence and clear demand weakness, at the end of its first five years Stellantis has successfully maintained its second position among the major players in the automotive business, keeping a significant lead over trailing competitors.

This achievement is the result of a strategy built on our established strengths, such as our traditional leadership in the challenging commercial vehicle market, where Stellantis boasts three models in the Top Ten. Equally important is our competitiveness in the A-segment, where the FIAT Panda is the best seller with almost 24% of market share, and in the B-SUV segment – with more than 2.5 million total registrations in 2025 – where Stellantis commands over 20% market share.

Alongside these consolidated successes, thanks to a clear strategic choice, Stellantis has also secured a new leadership position in the hybrid vehicle segment, overtaking competitors with far greater experience in this market.

Finally, I want to emphasise that customers are rewarding our choices, as shown by the strong upward trend in orders, particularly in the second half of the year. This is a positive signal for 2026, when Stellantis plans to introduce at least 10 new products.”
