Dave Earns Fourth UK #1 Single with ‘Raindance’ Ft. Tems

Dave scores a history-making fourth UK #1 single today with ‘Raindance’ ft. Tems. The hit single has spent an incredible 13 weeks inside the UK top 40 since release, before finally reaching the summit this week.

A testament to his longstanding success, Raindance becomes Dave’s fourth UK number one single, all of which he has produced or co-produced on, following ‘Funky Friday’ with Fredo (2018), ‘Starlight’ (2022) and ‘Sprinter’ with Central Cee (2023). Dave now holds the most UK number one singles this decade by a UK rapper and ties the record for most chart-topping singles for a UK rapper as lead artist since Dizzee Rascal (4).

A global smash hit, ‘Raindance’ has made a huge impact on the charts worldwide, reaching #10 on the Spotify Global Chart and landing in the Top 40 in over 13 countries – including #1 in Greece, #2 in Switzerland, #4 in Sweden, #5 in the Netherlands, #5 in South Africa, #6 in New Zealand, #6 in Ireland, #7 in Germany, #8 in Australia, #12 in Norway, #17 in Belgium, #30 in Finland, #35 in France, #40 in Italy. The single has also been certified Gold in the UK.

Earlier this week, Dave received three huge nominations at the 2026 BRIT Awards including ‘Mastercard Album Of The Year’, ‘Artist Of The Year’ and ‘Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act’. ‘The Boy Who Played the Harp’ becomes his third consecutive album to receive a nomination for ‘Album Of The Year’ at the BRIT awards, after his debut album PSYCHODRAMA won the award back in 2020.

Dave’s record-breaking #1 third album ‘The Boy Who Played the Harp’ landed straight in at Number 1 on the Official Albums chart, becoming the first British rap act to debut three albums at Number 1 on the UK Chart, following 2019’s PSYCHODRAMA and 2021’s We’re All Alone In This Together. The album amassed a huge 74,000 UK chart sales in its first seven days, cementing it as the second biggest opening week for a British album in 2025. It was also the Biggest Selling Rap Album in a Week on Vinyl (15,561 sales) since OCC records began.
