Mallorca becomes the starting point for professional padel in Europe in 2026 with the celebration of the FIP Bronze Mallorca at the Rafa Nadal Academy facilities from January 19 to 25. The tournament is the first of the FIP Tour 2026 to be held in Spain and will mark the arrival of the International Padel Federation (FIP) circuit to the European continent after its traditional start to the season in Australia.

The FIP Tour 2026 will thus continue its international journey in Mallorca across the five continents throughout the year, accompanying padel fans with top-level professional competitions. The FIP Bronze Mallorca will feature an attractive pool of players, including eleven of them ranked within the Top 100 in the world rankings, including Antonio ‘Pincho’ Fernández and Patricia Martínez, number one seeds in the men’s and women’s categories respectively, and both ambassadors of the Rafa Nadal Academy.

To mark the celebration of the tournament, Maribel Nadal, Deputy General Manager of the Rafa Nadal Academy, said: “We are proud that Mallorca and the Rafa Nadal Academy are the starting point of the FIP Tour in Europe in 2026. This tournament reinforces our commitment to the growth of professional padel and the organization of top-level international events, offering players state-of-the-art facilities for competition. Thanks to the joint work with the Balearic Federation, fans will be able to start the year enjoying the best live padel here in Mallorca.”

Thanks to the support of the Padel Federation of the Balearic Islands, the organization of this FIP Bronze will be a new milestone in the Rafa Nadal Academy’s commitment to the development of professional padel. In this sense, the Academy continues to consolidate its position as the venue for major international events, following the success of the FIP World Cup Pairs held at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Kuwait last November, as well as the Kuwait City Premier Padel P1. In addition, the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center Costa Mujeres, located within the Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres and TRS Coral Hotel, hosted the first Premier Padel tournament held in Cancun.

The FIP Bronze Mallorca thus reaffirms the role of the Rafa Nadal Academy as an international benchmark in the organization of professional competitions and in the promotion of padel globally and reinforces the strategic commitment to padel and its vocation for excellence in training, competition and the organization of top-level events in the centers that make up the international network around the world.

Known for training world-class tennis players since its opening in 2016 in Manacor, the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar has also opted for padel thanks to the development of training programs for young people and adults in state-of-the-art facilities with nine outdoor and ten indoor courts. Its fitness center, its pioneering health and wellness spaces, its wide range of restaurants and its modern residence mean that the Rafa Nadal Academy has become one of the ideal places to practice paddle tennis. All of this has created a perfect environment for the development of young talents and adults who wish to live a unique experience in an ideal habitat for sports practice.
