New Balance Signs FC Porto and Spain Striker Samu Aghehowa

New Balance has announced the signing of Samu Aghehowa, the FC Porto and Spanish National Team striker whose explosive rise has made him one of football’s most exciting talents. The dynamic forward joins a strong roster of New Balance football athletes as the sport enters one of its biggest global years to date.

Samu has earned a reputation for finding the net in every kind of moment. Whether timing a run in behind or arriving in the box for the decisive finish, he’s consistently in the right place at the right time. After joining his first professional academy at 17 with FC Granada in 2021, he worked his way to a La Liga debut in 2023. In the summer of 2024, he transferred to FC Porto, New Balance’s longest-sponsored club, making an immediate impact with his first goal just two matches into his tenure. He went on to win Olympic gold with Spain in 2024 before debuting for the Senior National Team later that year against Switzerland. In the 2024/2025 season, he scored 12 goals in his first 13 matches and in 2025/2026 has already tallied 13 goals in 16 appearances.
