The ultimate betrayal: Harry and Jamie Redknapp, Paul Merson and Karel Prince team up to find the culprit ahead of Transfer Deadline Day

With the January transfer window in full swing, a team of sleuths including legendary Premier League manager and veteran of the window Harry Redknapp, are assembled to uncover a betrayal in the Sky Sports newsroom.
Captured in a social film, Sky Sports News Chief Reporter Kaveh Solhekol’s phone containing highly classified transfer information, has been stolen. Jamie Redknapp stars alongside his father, with Paul Merson and football’s ‘HRMC’ Karel Prince joining at a round table to form an unlikely cast of detectives. Sky Sports presenter Emma Paton steers discussion while Mike Wedderburn puts pressure on the team to act fast.
The HRMC of football Karel Prince – who is no stranger to holding ex-footballers to account – makes his suspicions known. Karel ‘welcomes to the stage’ a cloaked Jamie Redknapp, who quickly points out he has an alibi corroborated conveniently by his own father.
Paul Merson makes an official accusation by writing down ‘Carvey’ on his whiteboard, with the misspelling of Kaveh causing much confusion around the table.
Mike Wedderburn bursts into the discussion, seemingly straight from the Sky Sports News set, demanding that Kaveh make his way to the studio for a transfer update. When met with the conundrum of the missing phone, Mike has a bright idea that has so far been overlooked… giving it a ring.
As the Transfer Deadline Day theme rings out around the table, the detective work swiftly becomes elementary. Kaveh reaches in his own pocket to discover the phone had been there all along. After checking it for updates, he finds the biggest news of the window so far, but not even Emma is permitted to know what it is – at least, not before the viewers at home.
Fans can find out exactly what was waiting for Kaveh on Sky Sports News, with three daily transfer shows Monday to Friday on the channel – plus hourly updates from reporters. For the first time ever, Transfer Deadline Day will feature a Premier League fans panel live in the Sky Sports News studio.
