Warrior for Life Fund and New Balance Announce $1 Million Investment in Support of America’s Elite Warriors
The Warrior for Life Fund (WFLF) announced a transformative initiative with Boston-based athletic company New Balance providing $1 million to strengthen the long-term health, recovery, and resilience of America’s elite warriors.
This multi-year investment will significantly advance WFLF’s integrated continuum of care, which includes adaptive hockey programs, mental resilience training, and interdisciplinary clinical services delivered through the organization’s Human Performance Center in Virginia Beach. These efforts directly support warriors facing the invisible wounds of service, such as traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress, and the cumulative physical and cognitive strain of operational careers.
“This support reflects persistence and presence,” said Ryan Croley, Executive Director and Founder of the Warrior for Life Fund. “Our warriors don’t stop carrying the weight of their service when the uniform comes off. This partnership ensures we can continue to stand beside them with credible, informed care delivered by people who understand the demands of elite military service.”
The $1 million investment will bolster adaptive hockey operations, mental resilience education, integrated therapy, and outreach to service members transitioning from active duty. It will also help ensure warriors and their families can access essential care without financial barriers.
“New Balance is proud to support the important work of the Warrior for Life Fund that combines the healing power of sport with innovative and quality care for our nation’s warriors,” said Dave Wheeler, COO at New Balance.”
On January 10th, Warrior for Life Fund will host its annual Face Off for Heroes fundraiser game with Boston Bruins Alumni at Warrior Ice Arena at Boston Landing, adjacent to New Balance’s global headquarters. New Balance also owns Warrior Hockey, which is based in Michigan and has an equipment agreement with WFLF.
