Infosys partners with Cognition to expand engineering capacity and help scale its enterprise business
Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, has partnered with Cognition to deploy Devin, the AI software engineer, across its organization and global client base.
By augmenting its workforce with autonomous software engineers, Infosys will dramatically expand its delivery capacity. This collaboration represents one of the largest global deployments of agentic software engineering to date, operating within some of the world’s most complex and regulated enterprise environments.
Infosys has begun by rolling out Devin in its Financial Services practice, across banking, payments, capital markets, insurance, and wealth management use cases—both within its own teams and inside customer organizations. Then, the rollout is aimed towards expanding to retail, energy, healthcare, and other verticals where Infosys operates.
Over the past six months, Infosys has unlocked material productivity gains with Devin. Complex migrations, including COBOL and JCP servlet projects, have shifted from long, resource-heavy undertakings to streamlined processes completed in record time.
Infosys will leverage Devin in three primary ways:
Internal productivity. Infosys will deploy Devin within its own teams to accelerate internal development and delivery.
Services delivery. Infosys will embed Devin into customer engagements, pairing human engineers with autonomous engineers to form hybrid delivery pods that significantly accelerate execution.
Managed Service Provider (MSP). Infosys will deploy and manage Devin directly within customer environments, providing ongoing operation, governance, and optimization of agentic software engineering systems. Infosys will provide vertical expertise to these deployments via curated knowledge and playbooks to accelerate adoption and impact.
To support this rollout, Infosys and Cognition are developing engineering frameworks and enablement programs designed for large, regulated enterprises. Infosys aims to provide enterprises with standardized architecture, best practices, and automation capabilities that reduce complexity and enhance operational resilience.
