Brian Cayne Joins Goldman Sachs as a Partner and Co-Head of Software Investment Banking
The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) today announced that Brian Cayne has joined the firm as a Partner in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Group and Co-Head of Global Software Investment Banking.
Based in San Francisco, Brian will co-head software investment banking alongside Jason Rowe, who is based in New York, and Joe Porter, who is London-based. His appointment further strengthens the firm’s ability to serve the strategic and financing needs of its software and technology clients globally during this period of significant transformation. The TMT group is led by global co-heads, Jung Min and Barry O’Brien.
Brian brings nearly twenty years of industry experience and deep knowledge of the software and technology sectors to Goldman Sachs. He co-founded Qatalyst Partners in 2008, and most recently led their software practice. Prior to this, Brian was an associate at Vista Equity Partners and worked in the technology M&A group at Credit Suisse.
