Lancia lights up Brussels: the return of HF between rallying, performance, and the future

Turin – WEBWIRE
  • Taking center stage at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, Lancia returns under the international spotlight with a stand that celebrates innovation and vision.
  • On 9 January, legendary driver Miki Biasion will inaugurate the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, the competition car ready to debut in the prestigious WRC 2026.
  • The HF family, now in full evolution, is represented by two models: the 280-hp electric Ypsilon HF, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, and the Ypsilon HF Line Hybrid, which brings the HF language to more accessible 110-hp powertrains.
  • The expansion of the new Lancia showroom network in the Benelux region continues unabated, now comprising 11 dealers currently operating, 2 additional openings underway, and 15 service points.

Lancia will take part in the 102nd edition of the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, running from 9 to 18 January, playing a leading role at what is considered a prime showcase for discovering the latest developments in international automotive innovation and gaining early insight into the trends that will shape the mobility of tomorrow. The opening day, reserved for press and industry professionals, marks the start of an unmissable event which last year welcomed more than 300,000 visitors.

On the Lancia stand, designed around the brand’s minimalist, timeless design codes, the spotlight will fall on the latest creations from the Italian brand, starting with the new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, the competition car that marks Lancia’s return to the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC 2026).

Its competitive debut will take place at the Monte Carlo Rally, the opening round of the Championship scheduled from 22 to 25 January, on the iconic French Alpine roads. This project represents a bridge between Lancia’s sporting heritage and the challenges of contemporary motorsport, with tangible investment in young talent and a clear, future-focused vision.

This approach is already evident in the success of the 2025 Trofeo Lancia, where the Ypsilon Rally4 HF has fostered a vibrant community with over 100 cars sold and more than 40 teams competing, confirming the effectiveness of the HF family development program. Alongside the new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, the Lancia HF family also includes the Ypsilon Rally4 HF and the Ypsilon HF Racing, both designed to make rallying more accessible and affordable without compromising safety, performance, or build quality. All three models are part of the Customer Racing Programme and are available to order through the Stellantis Motorsport Racing Shop.

Also on display at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show stand are two further Lancia models proudly bearing the HF badge and the iconic red elephant, the enduring symbols that embodied the most authentic and daring sporting spirit of the Italian brand for more than sixty years. The spotlight, therefore, shines on the powerful 280-hp electric Ypsilon HF, finished in Arancio Lava with a black roof, and on the dynamic 110-hp Ypsilon HF Line Hybrid, in Bianco Quarzo with a black roof. Both road-going versions deliver the authentic emotions that only a Lancia can offer. After all, the development of the HF family was supervised by Miki Biasion, a true motorsport legend who, throughout the 1980s and 1990s, forged an inseparable bond with Lancia, becoming the most successful Italian rally driver of all time. For that reason, on the opening day, 9 January, it will be the two-time World Champion himself to officially unveil the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, creating a moment of intense emotion.

Motorsport activity remains a crucial testbed for transferring technological and safety improvements to production vehicles. This is clearly visible in the 280-hp Ypsilon HF, the brand’s first high-performance, 100% electric model. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, is equipped with a 54 kWh battery (with a WLTP range of around 370 km), adds 100 km of range in just 10 minutes of fast charging, and incorporates several race-inspired solutions, from 355 mm Alcon brakes and a Torsen limited-slip differential to Level 2 ADAS.
Further information on the Lancia WRC2 Program and the HF family is available at the dedicated link.

On public days, visitors will also be able to admire a Ypsilon LX - the richest and most comprehensive version - finished in Verde Giada with a black roof and equipped with a 156 hp/115 kW electric motor and a 54 kWh battery. This configuration delivers a range of up to 419 km (combined WLTP cycle) and fast charging times of 27 minutes from 20% to 80%, or 100 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Lastly, it is worth recalling that the Belgium-Luxembourg region plays a key role in the brand’s internationalization strategy, which initially foresees a network of 70 new dealers across as many major European cities. The first markets involved in this relaunch of the brand include France, Spain, Belgium-Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Germany. In the Belux region in particular, there are already 11 active Lancia showrooms, with 2 more currently opening and 15 service points in operation.
