Winter Rush: Part 1 - Let’s Go to Work

Winter’s here. The weather’s nasty, the hits feel heavier, and the real ones rise when the field turns to frozen concrete.

Winter Rush is our next monthly program, and this one’s built different. We’re rolling it out in two full-sized halves; Offense in December, Defense in January - because great football is a grind, and this program should feel like one. In the best way.

Part 1 runs Dec 11 (11am ET) - Jan 8 (11am ET).

Part 2 runs Jan 8 (11am ET) - Feb 5 (11am ET).

You’ve got eight weeks of cold-weather legends, fresh pulls, and top-tier events. Suit up.

THE PLAYERS: COLD WEATHER READY

This program’s theme is simple:

Who shows up when the rest of the league freezes up?

We’re dropping 31 Offensive players in Part 1 and 31 Defensive players in Part 2, all guys who made a name when the temperature dropped. And yeah - there’s a whole extra batch coming Xmas week (13 “Gifted Players”) with some wild alt-position fun. Think Puka Nacua at cornerback energy.

Here’s the breakdown for each half of Winter Rush:

2 Mythicals

• 1 as the final Mythical event reward
• 1 incredibly rare in packs

11 Legendaries

• 1 Power Pass
• 4 in weekend chase events
• 6 in packs (3 at launch, 1 each week)
• 10 Epics

8 Rares

• All in packs at launch

No Commons - because monthly programs aren’t meant for warm-ups.

Every Thursday, new delayed-release cards hit packs to keep things fresh and the economy moving. No stale weeks. No dead store.

PACKS & SHOP: KEEPIN’ IT SIMPLE

We heard the noise last year: too many packs, too many offers, too much clutter.

So we trimmed the waistline.

For Winter Rush, the store has only two core packs up consistently:

Winter Rush: Offense Pack

• Rare+ Winter Rush player
• Core-set Common+
• No purchase limit

Alongside that, weekends bring valuable “special offers” across various price points - from entry-level to big bundles - so players can hit their lane and stay in it.

And seasonal program players now appear in regular pack pools wherever you’d normally pull rare+ players. More shots, more access, cleaner experience.

EVENTS: BIG REWARDS, BIG WEEKENDS, BIG FINISH

Winter Rush runs on three event types:

Currency Events

48-hour weekday grinders, same heartbeat as last year.

Plus:

• 1-day event on launch day
• A 3-day closing event for Leagues 0–6

Weekend Chase Events

Three-day heavy hitters starting Fridays.

Exclusive high-value Legendary cards up top.

Lineup requirements and bonuses keep things competitive—just how we like it.

The Mythical Event

This is the big one. Starts right after the final chase event.

This year, it’s League 7-9 only, and instead of grinding currency to buy the Mythical - you earn the Mythical outright.

No middlemen. No storefront. Just performance.

POWER PASS: TWO PASSES, TWO PATHS, LOTS OF VALUE

Each half of Winter Rush has its own 50-tier Power Pass, each running four weeks.

Rewards include:

• 2–3 PFPs per pass

The Power track is carrying:

• 1 Legendary (final reward)
• 2 exclusive Epics

Daily and long-form Tasks drive your pass XP - log in, knock ’em out, move the chains.

CRAFTING: SMALL BUT STRONG

A focused Crafting slate for this program:

Conversion Craft

• Any 4 Common → 1 Rare Winter Rush
• Limit 1

Upgrade Craft

• 10 Rare MS3 → 1 Epic+ Winter Rush Pack (90/10 odds)
• Limit 3, resets weekly

Part 2 also brings crafts that convert minted offense players → non-minted defense players. More flexibility, more roster shaping.

GIFTED PLAYERS & GIFTS: CHRISTMAS WEEK GOES HARD

Xmas week is its own beast inside Winter Rush.

We’re adding 13 Gifted Players - mostly tied to Xmas Day pack offers - with wild alt-position twists. There’s also a dedicated Gifted Player Chase Event that weekend.

Gifts return in five types: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Blue (Rare), Red (Epic).

They’re time-locked, so you’ve gotta come back on the right date to crack ’em open.

Earn them by:

• Spending program currency in the Power Pass Store
• Buying premium shop offers with Gifted Players
