The Guadalajara International Book Fair, also known as Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL Guadalajara), is the largest and most influential publishing event in Ibero-America, drawing thousands of attendees from the Spanish-speaking world and the rest of the world.

“Puerto Rico Lighthouses” is a bilingual (English/Spanish) book that offers a compelling journey through the rich maritime history of Puerto Rico, highlighting the enduring legacy of its iconic lighthouses. From the Spanish colonial period to modern times, these coastal watchtowers have played a vital role in guiding mariners, facilitating communication, and symbolizing progress.

Ammie Medina invited readers to explore the unique architectural styles, strategic designs, and solid construction of each lighthouse, revealing stories that span centuries. Lavishly illustrated with photographs and historical images, this comprehensive single volume is the only book to document Puerto Rico’s lighthouses.

Whether a history enthusiast, an architecture lover, or a curious traveler, “Puerto Rico Lighthouses” captures the spirit of the island’s maritime heritage and its profound connection to the sea.
