Focus Mobility rate the SILEX 9000 with "very good" test result

WEBWIRE

German magazine Focus Mobility has given the SILEX 9000 a superb review, with a 1.0 score and ’Very Good’ rating, saying it "truly offers everything one could hope for in a modern race gravel bike".

In a test of 12 gravel bikes, the SILEX 9000 was awarded the highest score, with the reviewer saying that "the Merida is powerful, very agile, and fast on any terrain" thanks to our mountain-bike inspired geometry. With plenty of tyre clearance, the SILEX impressed with the tester saying that "The 45mm Maxxis tires roll confidently over bumpy and slippery trails".

As well as being praised for a lightweight carbon fibre frame with confident handling, the high-end specification of the bike was also noted. In particular, the gravel-specific Shimano GRX Di2 groupset impressed with smooth, crisp and low-effort wireless shifts. Along with the lightweight Reynolds carbon wheelset, the overall package was praised for offering great value for money, saying "The high-end wheelset also highlights the excellent value for money of the Silex 9000".
