The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomes global travel leaders for World Travel Awards Grand Final 2025
The World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2025, recognising the achievements of the world’s leading travel and tourism organisations, will take place in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Hosted at the landmark Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), the red carpet reception, organised in partnership with Official Host Destination Bahrain, will bring together travel and tourism leaders from across the world.
The gala evening marks the climax of WTA’s Grand Tour 2025, a global search for the best travel and tourism organisations. Regional ceremonies were held earlier in Tanzania, Cancun (Mexico), Saint Lucia, Hong Kong, Sardinia (Italy) and Dubai. The Grand Final brings together these regional winners to compete for the prestigious World categories, the highest accolades in the annual WTA programme, spanning the entire industry, from hotels and resorts to airlines and tour operators.
Linking East and West, Bahrain is an archipelago of 33 islands in the Arabian Gulf. With a rich history dating back more than 4,000 years, the Kingdom has served as a major hub for trade and the pearl-diving industry. Manama, Bahrain’s bustling capital, offers a gateway to Bahraini culture, history, shopping, and nightlife.
Building on this appeal, Exhibition World Bahrain provides a world-class setting for major exhibitions, conferences, and international events. As the Kingdom’s premier MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) venue, it is a strategic catalyst for Bahrain’s economic growth, playing a pivotal role in positioning the Kingdom as a leading hub for business, networking, and global engagement in the region.
Graham Cooke, Founder of World Travel Awards, said: “Excitement is building for our Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2025 in Bahrain, and I look forward to joining travel industry figureheads from across the world for what promises to be a fabulous event that will live long in everyone’s memory. This will be our first ceremony in Bahrain, reflecting the Kingdom’s incredible tourism potential, and we look forward to welcoming leaders from across the global travel industry to experience its many charms and opportunities.”
Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), CEO, Sara Ahmed Buhiji added: “Hosting the World Travel Awards Grand Final at Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) marks a milestone moment for EWB, showcasing our country’s world-class hospitality and rich cultural heritage. The event underscores Bahrain’s rise as a premier MICE and tourism destination in the region, opening doors for international networking, collaboration, and business excellence, and positioning it as a hub for global engagement.”
The Grand Final Gala Ceremony will celebrate the achievements of the world’s leading travel and tourism organisations, providing an exclusive setting for industry leaders to connect, network, and share insights on the future of global travel.
