American Express Ranks No. 1 in J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Small Business Credit Card Satisfaction Study — For the Fifth Year in a Row

American Express has once again been ranked the number one issuer in the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Small Business Credit Card Satisfaction Study^SM, marking the fifth consecutive year the company has taken the top spot. With this recognition, American Express has become the most awarded brand in the study’s history.

Amex ranked number one across all seven key categories of U.S. customer satisfaction: account management, meeting business needs, terms, benefits, rewards redeeming, rewards earning and customer service.

The study surveys thousands of customers whose businesses generate between $10,000 and $10 million in annual revenue to determine their satisfaction with the largest small business credit card issuers in the U.S. American Express had the highest overall satisfaction rating, with a score of 750 points (out of a 1,000-point scale), which is 34 points above the study average and a 15-point increase from Amex’s 2024 score.
