Huawei, Network Innovation and Development Alliance, and King Saud University Jointly Release Campus Autonomous Network Technical White Paper

Huawei, together with the Network Innovation and Development Alliance (NIDA) and King Saud University (KSU), released the Campus Autonomous Network Technical White Paper at the AI Education Summit 2025, hosted by KSU.

The deepening digital transformation of universities and colleges worldwide is giving rise to diverse application scenarios such as remote teaching, AR/VR-based teaching, smart classrooms, intelligent research, and green campuses. But this transformation is being held back by low efficiency in network O&M, delayed dynamic resource scheduling, insufficient support for key users and core application experiences, poor wireless network user experience, and significant pressure to reduce energy consumption and emissions.

To address these challenges, NIDA has collaborated with universities and colleges globally to compile the white paper, which looks at technologies such as big data collection, digital twins, large models, AI agents, and energy-saving solutions. It proposes innovative solutions to the difficulties encountered in the digital transformation of higher education institutions, aiming to provide a solid technical foundation for AI-driven education.

The white paper not only offers clear technical guidance for intelligent network O&M in universities, but also marks a new stage in the development of campus intelligent network O&M, transitioning from "technical exploration" to "standardized leadership".

Looking ahead, Huawei will collaborate with NIDA and KSU, join hands with more universities and enterprises to continuously deepen joint innovation in the field of Autonomous Network by building an innovative cooperation model that integrates "International alliances, Universities, and Technology companies" At the same time, they will promote the widespread application of this technical standard in the global education industry, providing replicable and scalable practical experiences for the digital transformation of education.
