Cardinal Health has received Great Place to Work Certification in six countries, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, India, Puerto Rico and the Philippines.

Great Place to Work evaluates workplace culture and employee experience based on employees’ perspectives. The company works with tens of thousands of employers around the globe and uses employee data to identify and showcase top places to work.

The Great Place to Work Certification is based on a rigorously developed employee survey that is considered by leaders a standard for quantifying the return on investment of workplace culture. Its employee engagement survey gathers feedback focused on trust, respect and camaraderie. Employees’ real-life experiences at work determine whether a company earns the Great Place to Work Certification.

Across the six countries we selected to be considered for the Certification, 85% of surveyed employees said that Cardinal Health is a great place to work.

Ola Snow, Chief Human Resources Officer, said, “We’re very proud to be named a Great Place to Work. This is a recognition of our deep and long-standing commitment to building a world-class, inclusive culture where everyone can be their authentic selves, do their best work and thrive.”

When we talk about culture at Cardinal Health, we talk about all of the ways we stand up for one another, Snow said, “We work to create a safe workplace where we embrace each other’s differences, support one another and know it’s OK to not be OK. We equip employees with a broad range of career development opportunities and resources to advance both their professional and personal goals.”

Cardinal Health randomly selected about 20% of U.S. employees to respond to the survey. Those surveyed included many open-ended responses, including this one: “What makes this company stand out is how much it invests in people’s growth and well-being. For instance, new hires are paired with mentors…and there are clear structured pathways for advancement. Leadership genuinely encourages innovation; we’re given time and resources to try out new ideas or pilot small projects without fear of failure. The company also organizes…community outreach events, which build a real sense of purpose beyond our day-to-day work.”

Another employee wrote, “By contributing to the health of patients and ensuring timely delivery of products and [services to healthcare providers and patients], Cardinal Health stands out as a truly meaningful and rewarding place to work.”

Snow said, “This Certification is not only an acknowledgement of our workplace culture but also a tribute to all our employees. We’re tremendously grateful to everything they do to improve the lives of people every day and to help position Cardinal Health as healthcare’s most trusted partner.”
