ASICS Receives IR Grand Prix at the “2025 IR Award”

KOBE, Japan – WEBWIRE

ASICS Corporation is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the IR (Investor Relations) Grand Prix at the “2025 IR Award” selected by the Japan Investor Relations Association (JIRA). This marks the first time ASICS has received the Grand Prix.

The “IR Award” recognizes companies that demonstrate a profound understanding of the purpose of investor relations, actively engage in IR activities, and achieve outstanding results such as receiving great support from market participants.

This year, 371 companies submitted applications, and a total of 13 companies were selected: 2 for the IR Grand Prix, 6 for the Best IR Award, 3 for the IR Special Award, and 2 for the Best IR Award for Encouragement.

ASICS first received the Best IR Award in 2023 and again in 2024. With this third consecutive recognition, ASICS has now been honored with the IR Grand Prix.

According to JIRA’s announcement, ASICS was mainly evaluated for the following reasons:

  • Senior management actively promotes IR activities with a focus on enhancing corporate value.
  • Detailed information disclosure, including profitability by product category and region, allows investors to track business progress.
  • The IR department actively incorporates investor feedback in presentation materials and events.
  • The company provides appropriate responses to questions regarding impacts such as tariffs imposed by the Trump administration and product trend dynamics.
  • The company actively promotes management explanations considering capital costs, facilitates dialogue with outside directors, and advances IR activities targeting individual investors.

Regarding the final point evaluated, ASICS has launched new initiatives this year to encourage long-term support from individual investors.

The first initiative is the distribution of “Messages from the IR Team.” Sent once or twice a month, these emails aim to help investors feel closer to ASICS by sharing event information and messages from its contracted athletes.

The second initiative is its “Hands-on IR Briefings” held in eight cities across Japan. In addition to a company presentation, participants can experience stretching exercises, foot shape measurements, and shoe try-ons.

ASICS will continue to actively engage in two-way communication with capital market stakeholders and strive to enhance its disclosures and dialogue opportunities in line with the needs of the market. ASICS aims to further enhance its corporate value by advancing IR initiatives unique to the company.

Yasuhito Hirota, Chairman and CEO, Representative Director of ASICS Corporation, said, “We are deeply honored to receive the prestigious ‘IR Grand Prix’ from the Japan Investor Relations Association, which is dedicated to promoting and improving the quality of IR activities in Japan.

At ASICS, we position IR as one of our key management pillars. In 2024, we held meetings with more than 1,800 institutional investors in Japan and overseas.

Moreover, through the equity offering conducted in 2024, we transformed our shareholder structure and have since been pursuing what we call ‘head- on management’ that faces the capital markets head-on.

This transformation demands even greater transparency and discipline in management, and we view shareholder expectations and feedback as vital driving forces for our continued growth. We will remain committed to enhancing the quality of our IR activities going forward.”
