Making its debut, the new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid marks the brand’s first plug-in hybrid offering in the U.S. Designed to meet the needs of modern families, it delivers an estimated 38 miles of all-electric range for everyday errands, while its hybrid powertrain provides an EPA-estimated total driving range of up to 420 miles1, combining electric convenience with gasoline-powered confidence.
The new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid will make its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, from November 21-30. It will be offered in two well-equipped grades, SL and Platinum, and reaches Nissan dealerships early in 2026.
Seamless plug-in hybrid powertrain offers the best of both worlds
The new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid combines two electric motors, a 20-kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a 2.4-liter gasoline engine. The system seamlessly blends output from the motors and gas engine to deliver the performance efficiency demanded by the driver at any time. It offers all-electric driving for quiet, efficient everyday trips, plus the versatility of gas-hybrid driving to go farther when adventure beckons.
Rogue Plug-in Hybrid’s battery can be fully charged in just 7.5 hours on a Level 2 home charger3.
Total system output is 248 horsepower and 322 lb-ft of torque, helping enable quicker acceleration than the standard Rogue. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive2 is standard on Rogue Plug-in Hybrid.
Seven drive modes are available to optimize power delivery and AWD torque distribution: Normal, Power, Eco, Tarmac, Gravel, Snow and Mud4.
Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is rated with an EPA fuel economy estimate of 64 MPGe, and 26 mpg combined when operating on gas1.
Intuitively integrated technology
Rogue Plug-in Hybrid has a compelling complement of connectivity, starting with a 9-inch touchscreen featuring standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and wired Android Auto™. A reconfigurable 12.3-inch driver display comes standard, with Platinum grade adding a 10-inch head-up display5. Platinum grade also includes a Bose® nine-speaker premium audio system, giving a rich, lifelike recreation of every playlist.
Keeping devices charged is a cinch with a standard wireless phone charger and front and rear USB ports. Platinum grade also features a pair of 120-volt, 1,500-watt power outlets (one in the trunk, one for the rear seats) that can operate small electrical appliances, ideal for camping or tailgating.
Three rows of seating, impressive flexibility
The new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid was designed with hobbies, road trips and families in mind. Its three rows of seating, with space for seven, include a second row that slides, reclines and easily folds forward for access to the third row.
The cargo area is equally flexible, offering a wide space that can accommodate four golf bags (with third row lowered), while its tall interior can conveniently fit a mountain bike.
A motion-activated power liftgate is standard. The rear doors open to a 70-degree angle, making it simpler for passengers to get in and out, or to load child seats or other cargo.
Standard safety technologies for peace of mind
Rogue Plug-in Hybrid offers drivers and their passengers the confidence of 11 standard airbags and a lengthy list of standard safety and driver assistance technologies. All Rogue Plug-in Hybrid models feature standard Nissan Safety Shield® 3602 technologies, including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning and Rear Automatic Emergency Braking.
Intelligent Around View® Monitor2 with Moving Object Detection is standard, providing a 360-degree view around the vehicle for more confidence when parking or maneuvering at low speeds.
Rogue Plug-in Hybrid also features standard ProPILOT Assist 1.12, providing steering assistance, braking and acceleration support.
Bold design with premium touches
The new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid has a muscular and dynamic exterior, with 20-inch dark-painted wheels, black mirror caps and black exterior trim. Its all-LED exterior lighting is striking, with multi-element LED headlights. The interior is a compelling blend of functionality and comfort, with physical controls for climate temperature, audio volume and drive modes, plus an easy-to-operate electric shift lever. Soft-touch materials surround for a premium feel, including on the dashboard and door armrests. Acoustically laminated front door glass helps keep the cabin quieter. Platinum grade includes available leather-appointed seats, door illumination and a genuine machined-aluminum trim plate around the shifter.
“The Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is an important step in Nissan’s electrification roadmap. It delivers the convenience of all-electric driving for everyday commutes while maintaining the long-range driving benefits of a gasoline engine. This dual capability reflects Nissan’s commitment to meeting customers’ needs to enjoy the upside of having both an EV and a traditional SUV in a single vehicle which will prepare our customers for a more fully electrified future,” said Ponz Pandikuthira, senior vice president and chief product officer, Nissan Americas. “Introducing our first plug-in hybrid in the U.S. reinforces our Re:Nissan business strategy to revitalize the product portfolio and expand market coverage.”
The new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid will be offered in two well-equipped grades, SL and Platinum, and reaches Nissan dealerships early in 2026.
