Saikindō to Debut at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi; Where Sound Meets Spirit

Saikindō, the new Hi-Fi cocktail bar at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island, is set to open in November 2025, bringing a completely new concept to the region. More than a destination cocktail bar, the venue will be a dialogue between sound, space, and spirit, a homage to the listening bars of Japan and their deep-rooted culture of refinement and rediscovery. Every detail will be created with precision and intention, shaping an experience that transcends the traditional bar and introduces a bold new dimension to the luxury hotel bar landscape of the Middle East.

Saikindō will embody the philosophy of Omotenashi, the Japanese art of wholehearted hospitality, defined by anticipating the needs of others and meeting them with sincerity, care, and meticulous attention to detail. From the moment guests are welcomed with complimentary bar snacks and thoughtful recommendations, every touchpoint will reflect this spirit. As the first note drifts through the air and the final sip draws the evening to a close, guests will depart with a quiet sense of warmth and belonging that endures beyond the night.

The bar will be led by Beverage Director Marco Corallo, formerly of Dubai’s Four Seasons Jumeirah and London’s Artesian, and Head Mixologist Ann Pinsuda, formerly of The Bamboo Bar, Bangkok.  Using AI, the team will transform music’s tempo and tone into taste, creating cocktails that mirror sound. Each creation will be crafted from seasonal Japanese ingredients and available with both alcoholic and free-spirited variations. Guests will explore Japanese cocktails, international spirits, sake, and shōchū, each sip echoing the bar’s rhythm and soul and designed to be heard as much as tasted.

Saikindō’s concept draws inspiration from the Metabolism movement, renowned for its visionary, modular architecture and adaptable design that responds to changing needs. This forward-thinking philosophy is elegantly combined with the warmth of mid-century craftsmanship, creating a space that feels both intimate and social, where innovation meets timeless sophistication. The bar’s interiors will be meticulously composed of unique materials, from rich wooden panelling and bespoke acoustic detailing to intricately embroidered wallpaper and refined furnishings, shaping an intimate yet convivial atmosphere that invites connection and discovery. Every surface, texture, and detail of Saikindō will celebrate artistry, vibrant character and the rhythm of timeless music.

Layered into this environment will be a striking fusion of the iconic sophistication of classic spy elegance intertwined with the vibrant, rebellious spirit of Japan’s Bosozoku biker subculture. This blend of sharp, refined style and Bosozoku’s bold energy will weave through the space, from patterns and materials to bespoke fashion pieces displayed within the bar, creating a sophisticated yet dynamic atmosphere alive with energy and style.

The bar’s soundscape will be a living, evolving composition. Vinyl takeovers, guest DJs, and intimate tastings will transform each visit into a sensory journey celebrating Japanese spirits. Record collectors’ nights and intimate masterclasses will become immersive explorations, where every note, flavour, and detail is orchestrated for a fully resonant and unforgettable experience.
