Clinton withdraws from England squad

Grace Clinton has withdrawn from England’s October international camp with a minor injury.

Andrée Jeglertz confirmed in his Friday press conference that the midfielder would miss our League Cup tie against Newcastle United, and she’s now pulled out of the Lionesses’ international friendlies against Brazil and Australia.
 
Clinton’s last appearance for City came in our 3-2 WSL win over Arsenal, but she’s now been granted an additional recovery period ahead of our return to action against West Ham United on Saturday 1 November.
 
She’s been replaced by Liverpool’s Grace Fisk in the Lionesses squad, which also contains City team-mates Khiara Keating, Alex Greenwood and Laura Blindkilde Brown.
