Regarding the Lawsuit Filed by Our Group Company in China

Kuraray Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hitoshi Kawahara) hereby announces that Kuraray (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a group company in China, has initiated legal action against Dongguan Qunan Plastic Industrial Co., Ltd. for intellectual property infringement and unfair competition related to the ionomer interlayer product SentryGlas™, at the Dongguan First People’s Court.

Kuraray believes that its intellectual property rights are important management resources. Kuraray makes it clear that if it finds that any of its intellectual property rights have been infringed, it is continuously committed to handling the matter by appealing for strict application of the relevant laws.
