Pirelli ready for the WorldSBK season finale in Jerez
The Spanish Round will feature the same tyre allocation used in last weekend’s Estoril Round, including the new front and rear development solutions
• With the Spanish Round, scheduled for October 17–19 at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit, the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship is set to conclude and crown the new WorldSBK World Champion. For this occasion, Pirelli will rely on the same specifications introduced at last weekend’s Estoril Round, including the new development tyres: front E0672 and rear E0126 and E0479.
• WorldSBK riders will have three front options available: the hard SC2 and two versions of the medium SC1, the standard version and the E0672 development specification. The latter made its debut last weekend in Estoril, where it was well received and widely used in the races. It was developed with the goal of improving stability under braking and during corner entry, thanks to a new structure offering enhanced support.
• For the rear, the soft SC0 will be the most wear-resistant option, joined by the well-known development supersoft SCX in E0126 specification, and the more recent development extrasoft SCQ in E0479 specification, which debuted at Misano and will only be available for free practice, qualifying, and the Superpole Race.
• The WorldSSP class will also see the same tyre allocation used in Portugal, with SC1 and SC2 available for the front and SCX and SC0 for the rear.
At Jerez we will assess the outcome of the development work carried out this season
“This season we introduced several innovations affecting most of the range, especially the rear options. The new structure applied to the SC0 and SCX compounds has provided very positive feedback, so much so that their respective development versions, E0125 and E0126, were among the most used in the rounds where they were made available. This allowed us to collect important data over the course of the season, and at the final round in Jerez we will be able to assess the work done and the results achieved. In Spain, we are bringing again the E0126 supersoft because we believe it can adapt very well to the characteristics of the track, and at the same time we want to ensure continuity between the rear specifications used in this round and in the previous one in Estoril, also to support the testing work on the new front development solution, the E0672, which made its debut in Portugal last weekend, receiving very positive comments and wide appreciation, but still needs further evaluation to fully assess its performance. The SC1 compound it uses is now well-established and widely known, and we focused on developing a new structure that offers more stability under braking and when entering corners. So far, the initial feedback from riders who tested it in Estoril has been encouraging, but it will be interesting to assess its behavior on a circuit like Jerez which is more demanding on the front-end. We will also bring back the E0479 rear SCQ development solution, which we have already made available at four rounds, including Misano, where, with asphalt temperatures exceeding 47°C, it was widely used and well received. If we find similar conditions in Jerez, we will be able to collect further valuable data.”
