Airline moves terminal as it gears up for new routes launch
Loganair is investing in its flying programme at Manchester Airport with a series of service enhancements.
The UK’s leading regional airline is moving to a new terminal base as it readies for the launch of two new routes.
The Manchester to Exeter and Manchester to Southampton routes are set to begin later this month, in time for the airline relocating its operations from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 as of 20 October.
Manchester Airport is undergoing a significant investment programme, with over £1.3bn being spent on its transformation over the coming years.
As part of this upgrade, Terminal 2 will double in size, providing more seating, space for passengers, and restaurant facilities.
With Loganair expanding its operations from Manchester, the airline is gearing up for a busy start to the year, with flights from the Isle of Man to Southampton via Manchester also commencing in January.
Luke Lovegrove, Chief Commercial Officer at Loganair, said:
The move to Terminal 2 will support our growing operations from Manchester.
With two new routes launching this side of the year, it is a very exciting time for staff and customers alike.
We have already received a positive response to our early ticket sales for the new services between Southampton, Exeter and Manchester, so we encourage customers to book now to avoid missing out.
Fares start from £72 one-way, offering greater convenience to customers than lengthy rail journeys, and are a well-priced, practical alternative for those travelling between the regions.
Customers will benefit from Loganair’s signature services, including a 21kg total luggage allowance (15kg hold baggage and 6kg cabin baggage), family-friendly policies with discounts for children under 12, and the convenience of a locally based carrier providing reliable connectivity.
Earlier this year, Loganair was ranked second in the Which? annual customer survey of short-haul airlines, achieving a 72% customer score. The airline received a five-star rating for customer service and a four-star rating for booking, boarding, and cleanliness.
More recently, Loganair was named the most punctual for UK arrivals and departures in Q2 2025 by the UK Civil Aviation Authority, with 86% of its flights arriving and departing on time.
Those booking directly through Loganair’s website can also collect Avios, thanks to its partnership with the global travel rewards programme, via Loganair Loyalty.
Flights can be booked at loganair.co.uk or via local travel agents.
