Trailer Released for Upcoming Special: The Inside Story of the LEGO® Formula 1® Drivers’ Parade at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix
Today, the LEGO Group and Formula 1 have released the first trailer for Bricks on Track: Building the LEGO® F1® Drivers’ Parade, a new special about the ten drivable LEGO F1 cars that took to the track at the FORMULA 1 MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2025 Drivers’ Parade and delighted the world in an incredible global feat, featuring all 20 Formula 1 drivers on the grid. The full 48-minute special will be available on select TV & streaming services soon.
The special takes fans behind the scenes of everything that went into creating these one-of-a-kind cars and the incredible spectacle in Miami, where the LEGO Group’s model production team were tasked with their biggest challenge to date. Fans will see how the idea first came to be and how the team overcame the challenges they faced on their journey to putting the ten cars on track. The result surprised fans on the ground in Miami and worldwide and made the Formula 1 drivers in the cars rediscover their inner child during the Drivers’ Parade.
In addition to experiencing never-before-seen footage and reactions from the drivers behind the wheel, fans will also be able to hear insights from the LEGO Group’s Head of Design, William Thorogood, and Formula 1 presenter and former racing driver, Naomi Schiff, providing insights throughout the journey towards the Drivers’ Parade.

LEGO® Big Build Cars – Facts and Figures
- Each of the big build Formula 1 cars comprised of nearly 400,000 LEGO bricks, along with a selection of other components to make them capable of driving
- Over 22,000 combined hours were spent on the development and construction of the 10 big builds
- The big builds were created by 26 specialists in design, engineering and building from the LEGO Group
- In comparison to Formula 1 cars, these big builds are almost a complete 1:1 in scale
- The big builds were capable of reaching 20km/h during their unveiling at the Miami Grand Prix Driver’s Parade
- Each of these big builds weighed approximately 1,500kg, with 1,000kg of that being LEGO bricks
- Each big build is fitted with authentic, Pirelli Slick Tires
