Harris Corporation Names European Distributor for ImageLinks Family of Commercial Imagery Products

Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has formed an alliance with Antycip Simulation to distribute Harris ImageLinks™ TrueTerrain™ products in Western Europe. Harris is a worldwide leader in mapping and geospatial products used for the most demanding government and commercial visualization applications. The ImageLinks™ product suite delivers the highest quality imagery used to create geo-specific databases for advanced air, land and marine simulation, training and analysis applications.

Antycip will focus on distributing ImageLinks™ TrueTerrain™ products to simulation system prime contractors, system integrators and database developers for commercial and government programs, and also will assist in pre- and post-sale support within the European market. ImageLinks TrueTerrain products will broaden Antycip’s portfolio of premier simulation development tools.

The TrueTerrain™ product suite includes a broad range of imagery, terrain and surface data processed into highly accurate 2-dimensional ortho mosaics and 3-dimensional models of complex urban environments, airports, harbors and facilities. The True Terrain suite is based on 15-meter global imagery databases, with high-resolution areas ranging from 5 meters to 1 meter, to as small as 20 centimeters.

The ImageLinks™ processed datasets are optimized and corrected to ensure color balancing and conformity, resolution and localization accuracy. They are delivered in standard industry formats — including Geotiff, DTED, shapefile and OpenFlight — so that users can integrate them easily into simulation environments and reuse them in new applications.
