Gaia Tormena secured her seventh consecutive win at the XCE European Championships

For the seventh time in a row, the MERIDA-powered XCE (Mountain Bike Eliminator) specialist won the XCE European Championships with another decisive victory. 

Held in Gibraltar, the conditions for the race were perfect, and Gaia set some impressive times and results in the qualifying rounds from the outset. A technical mishap by one of her closest competitors made her semi-final slightly easier, but she knew she would have to give her all in the final to win. After briefly coming into contact with one of the other finalists just before one of the more technical sections of the course, Gaia composed herself and launched her decisive attack, securing her victory on board her BIG.NINE carbon hardtail. After missing out on defending her world title due to injury earlier this year, Gaia was determined to add this victory to her collection.
