Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine Co-Developing Lily Collins-led “Polly Pocket” Live Action Feature Film with Mattel Studios, Amazon MGM Studios, and Case Study Films; Creative Partners Jordan Weiss and Dan Brier to Write Script

Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAT), a leading global toy and family entertainment company and owner of one of the most iconic brand portfolios in the world, and Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshinewill co-develop the Polly Pocket live-action feature film with Mattel Studios and Amazon MGM Studios. Creative partners Jordan Weiss (Freakier Friday, Sweethearts) and Dan Brier (Sweethearts) will write the script, inspired by Mattel’s popular micro-doll line.

As previously reported, two-time Golden Globe-nominee Lily Collins (Emily in Paris) will star in the lead role as Polly and produce under her production banner Case Study Films.

For Mattel Studios, Polly Pocket will be overseen by Darian Greenbaum, Senior Executive, Mattel Studios and Ivan Sanchez, Senior Director of Production and Development. Robbie Brenner is producing on behalf of Mattel and Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter are producing for Hello Sunshine, along with Emily Ferenbach as an Executive Producer.

Alongside Polly Pocket, Mattel Studios has a robust slate of films in various stages of development, including two in post-production: Masters of the Universe with Amazon MGM Studios, which will premiere in theaters on June 5, 2026, and Matchbox with Apple Original Films and Skydance, set for a Fall 2026 release.

Polly Pocket, first introduced in 1989, is a trailblazer of tiny collectibles and the original micro-scale doll and accessories line. In 2018, Mattel reintroduced the popular ‘90s sensation with a product offering that pays homage to the brand’s origins, with updates to the tiny and mighty doll for a new generation. Children today can also experience Polly Pocket and her world through animated television and YouTube content that inspires them to be adventurous and bold.
