Lancia at the 23rd Rallylegend in San Marino

Turin – WEBWIRE
  • Lancia takes center stage alongside Miki Biasion and Eberhard & Co., Official Timekeeper of the event, reaffirming a deep-rooted bond built on passion, heritage, and boldness.
  • The 1983 Lancia Rally 037 Gr. B with Totip and Eberhard & Co. livery, the same car with which Biasion won the Rally Costa Smeralda, returns to the track driven by the two-time World Rally Champion.
  • On display: the new Lancia HF collector’s watch, symbol of the collaboration between the most successful rally brand and the prestigious Swiss Maison, and the Ypsilon HF Line, which brings the HF spirit to more accessible powertrains while preserving the style and iconic identity of the legendary badge.

Until October 5th, the thrilling Rallylegend takes place in the Republic of San Marino a four day event of “sideways driving,” one of the most technical disciplines in motorsport. Taking the stage are over 200 crews from 24 countries, along with some big names from the rally world, including Markku Alen, Stig Blomqvist, Tony Fassina, and many others.

The star of the event is Miki Biasion, two-time World Rally Champion and Ambassador for Eberhard & Co., which is also the Sponsor and Official Timekeeper of the event. Joining them is Lancia, the most successful brand in rally history, with 10 World Rally Constructors’ Championships, 3 World Endurance Constructors’ Championships, one Mille Miglia, two Targa Florio wins, and one Carrera Panamericana.

This consolidates the bond between Lancia, Eberhard & Co., and the famous Italian driver, united by shared values such as passion, heritage, and audacity. The perfect synthesis of this historic partnership is the 1983 Lancia Rally 037 Gr. B, with custom Totip and Eberhard & Co. livery, with which Miki Biasion triumphed at the Rally Costa Smeralda, marking his consecration on the European rally scene. This very car will be driven by the Italian champion at Rallylegend, paying a unique tribute to Lancia’s rallying tradition.

Also on display is the new Lancia HF collector’s watch an exclusive timepiece born from the partnership between the automotive brand and the Swiss Maison, celebrating the return of the legendary HF logo and the unmistakable red elephant, symbols of Lancia’s sportiest soul. A heritage rooted in international rally triumphs that is now reborn in a modern guise, faithful to its original spirit yet projected toward new challenges with the bold Ypsilon Rally4 HF, Ypsilon HF Racing, and the all-new Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale.

Developed and fine tuned by Lancia together with Miki Biasion, the race cars bring back the HF logo and the red elephant, two emblems that for over sixty years have embodied the brand’s most authentic sporting spirit and that today once again thrill enthusiasts around the world: both those lining the rally stages and those behind the wheel of the new HF electric road versions (280V) and HF Line, experiencing the emotions that only a Lancia can deliver. At Rallylegend, visitors can admire a model of the Ypsilon HF Line, showcasing an instantly recognizable character. In particular, the new front bumper is sculpted around the HF logo and the iconic red elephant, while the 17” alloy wheels enhance its sportiness.

Inside, the environment is designed to stir emotions. The specific seats with contrasting orange stitching feature a “cannelloni” pattern, a tribute to the brand’s sporty icons. The perforated leather sport steering wheel with HF logo offers an authentic tactile feel, while the dedicated door panel trims and the electric blue dashboard express bold elegance inspired by the racing world in pure HF style. In addition, the digital experience evolves with the new S.A.L.A. HF graphics available on the dual 10.25” screens, which reinterpret the infotainment interface with a sporty touch, while dark accents and aluminum pedals complete an interior designed for those who want to stand out, even in everyday driving.
In addition to S.A.L.A., the technological equipment is extensive: keyless entry with proximity sensor, Level 2 autonomous driving, blind spot warning, driver fatigue detection, front and rear parking sensors and cameras, and a drive mode selector.

Finally, three colors are available: Quartz White, Lava Orange, and Slate Black (the first two shades can optionally be paired with a black roof). Available with a latest generation hybrid powertrain with a 1.2L displacement, 110 HP (81 kW), 48V technology, a 3-cylinder engine, and automatic transmission, the new Ypsilon HF Line redefines the concept of urban sportiness, bringing to the road a compact car with unmistakable DNA. Performance is outstanding: a top speed of 190 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.3 seconds. All this with emissions as low as 105 g/km of CO₂ (WLTP cycle), demonstrating an excellent balance between performance and sustainability.
