“Cat’s in the Cradle” – October 30 at Tribeca Film Center
CAT’S IN THE CRADLE: THE SONG THAT CHANGED OUR LIVES tells the story of one of the most emotionally resonant songs in American popular music and the complex, charismatic artist behind it—Harry Chapin. Released in 1974, “Cat’s In the Cradle” became an unexpected chart-topper, cutting through a disco-dominated era with a haunting folk ballad about fatherhood, regret, and the passage of time. The film’s narrative unfolds through a compelling blend of archival footage, performance clips, and interviews with Chapin’s family, bandmates, and a range of musicians and public figures. These include Sandy Chapin (Harry’s wife and the song’s original poet), their children, and notable figures like Billy Joel, Judy Collins, Mandy Patinkin, Dee Snider, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, and Pat Benatar, among others.
After the Screening: A Q&A with filmmaker Richard Korn and Tom Chapin, Jen Chapin, and Jason Chapin.
“Lost and Found in Cleveland” – November 3 at Regal Union Square
This holiday season, it’s what’s inside that counts. LOST & FOUND IN CLEVELAND is a look at the American Dream set in “the best location in the nation” – a slice of life set over a 24-hour period that follows the personal odysseys of five very different people, whose lives intertwine when America’s favorite televised antiques appraisal show comes to Cleveland. The film will be opening in theaters nationally on November 7 through Attend, the innovative theatrical marketplace, developed by The Fithian Group.
After the Screening: A conversation with 2025 Emmy winner Jeff Hiller and cast members Santino Fontana, Mark L. Walberg, and Ben Steinhauser.
