Ron Teerlink New Chairman of the Supervisory Board Van Gogh Museum
The Supervisory Board of the Van Gogh Museum has appointed Ron Teerlink as its new Chair as of 1 October 2025. Teerlink succeeds Jacobina Brinkman, whose second term expired this year. The role was then temporarily filled by Hendrik Jan Roel.
Teerlink’s appointment followed a thorough selection process led by an external agency, and has the consent of the Minister of Education, Culture and Science.
After studying economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Ron worked within the banking sector, including as a member of the Executive Board of ABN AMRO and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rabobank. Ron is currently Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a member of the Supervisory Board at Nationale Spoorwegen.
Other members of the Van Gogh Museum’s Supervisory Board are: Hendrik Jan Roel (Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Audit Committee), Maurine Alma, Marian Spier, Laurence des Cars and Martijn Snoep.
