Channel 4 play dress up for Married at First Sight UK’s return with help from Miles Aldridge
Channel 4’s award-winning in-house creative agency 4creative is getting the public ready for the upcoming series of iconic dating show Married at First Sight UK in stylish fashion, pun intended.
Ahead of the show airing later this month, 4creative have teamed up with Miles Aldridge, one of Britain’s biggest names in the world of fashion photography, for a striking set of OOH posters that scream chic.
Launching today (Monday 15 September), the posters all share the theme of ‘getting ready’ for Married at First Sight by dressing models up with unconventional and striking wedding attire, from brides dressed in leopard skin to grooms wearing stunning pink velvet.
Set in a glossy and vibrant technicolour fairytale setting, the explosion of colour combined with dramatic fashion choices creates a Renaissance-like end result. 4creative was inspired by the nature of Married at First Sight UK’s dramatic highs and lows to produce a piece of work that was equally as arresting and attention-grabbing as the show itself.
Miles Aldridge brought his trademark style to the work, which was his first venture into a reality television project. Speaking to 4creative, Aldridge highlighted the appeal of Married at First UK as a leading example of “modern pop culture”, which in turn enabled him to pursue a cross between “the everyday and the profound” for his approach to the poster concept.
Aldridge shot the work using film photography to stylistically mirror the visual effects more often seen in paintings, which meant the posters have a style “which sits between art and cinema”.
Married at First UK will return to screens on Channel 4 on 21 September 2025.
David Wigglesworth, Executive Creative Director, 4creative, said:
"When you take the UK’s most iconic reality show and put it in front of Miles Aldridge’s lens, you don’t get wedding photos–you get modern art. That’s exactly what this campaign is: a surreal, technicolour marriage of pop culture and high culture"
