“The Caspari Montessori Piano Method” is a book that transforms the way children learn to play the piano. The book enables young musicians to play the notes on the musical instrument by associating each key with a color from the rainbow. Author Ludmila Vaserstein used the seven colors of the rainbow to denote the seven major keys of the piano. With this, learning the piano becomes enjoyable for kids who love music and the visual arts.

This book provides a comprehensive learning to the piano, from basic finger exercises to playing simple melodies. Each chapter focuses on a specific color, which allows familiarization. This method enables young piano learners to learn more about the notes as they associate them with the particular color of the rainbow.

Parents and teachers can learn tips from this book, allowing them to know the different ways to teach kids about playing their melodies through the keys. Vaserstein’s “The Caspari Montessori Piano Method” offers a fresh, innovative approach to piano learning that is both effective and enjoyable. Whether the child is a beginner or has some experience with playing the piano, this book offers a great way to hone musical skills and share the melodies with the listening hearts.

In Ukraine, Vaserstein had been interested in early piano education; she was trained to teach piano to people of all ages. Moreover, she and her colleagues developed a preparation course for young children. When she came to America, she learned English at a school where she also gave individual piano lessons and classes to adults and children. She was then recommended to teach piano at a school where she got exposed to Dr. Elisabeth Caspari’s method of teaching piano. It is by publishing “The Caspari Montessori Piano Method” that Vaserstein aims to keep Dr. Caspari’s method alive.

Another interesting part of the Dr. Caspari Piano Method is the Rhythm. Usually piano teachers introduce to the students the counting, but for the children of early age this way is not attractive for them. In opposite, Ms. Vaserstein uses un her teaching some elements of the Hungarian composite and music pedagogue Zoltan Kodaly. But more helpful and understandable for children.
