Paradigm, the agentic spreadsheet, today announced general availability (GA) of its product and $7M in total funding, including a $5M seed from General Catalyst, along with $2M in pre-seed from Y Combinator and founders of the world’s leading AI & productivity companies including Ramp, DropBox, LangChain, Zapier, Intercom, and others. Many professionals still rely on spreadsheets for critical work, but these tools weren’t built to handle today’s data volume or the speed of decision-making required. Gathering information, cleaning it, and turning it into insights can take hours or days, slowing down projects and leaving room for errors. Existing AI tools often feel bolted on and disconnected from actual workflows, forcing users to switch contexts and manually stitch results together.

Paradigm solves this by embedding powerful AI agents directly into a familiar spreadsheet interface, enabling teams to research, analyze, and produce deliverables instantly, without leaving their workspace. Since its beta launch in late 2024, Paradigm has had thousands of users across the world’s top consulting firms, banks, and technology companies use its products who are generating hundreds of thousands of cells every week.

“Our mission is to build an interface that allows individuals to distribute their ability to reason, one that makes agent orchestration widely and pervasively accessible.” said Anna Monaco, Founder and CEO of Paradigm. “Over the past year we have turned Paradigm into a full-fledged workspace with live collaboration, shared folders and sheets, workflow support, and even the ability to send emails and create documents. Entire companies are being run on Paradigm at this point.”

The company has also added key product features like the ability to write documents in rich text within the sheet, live collaboration, and a smarter and more comprehensive chat agent, all powered by the most powerful models including, most recently, GPT-5. Even though Paradigm takes the familiar interface of a spreadsheet, it is not a tool for financial modelling or accountants. Instead, the platform uses the sheet as an interface to allow users to automate complex web research at incredible accuracy and scale.

“Paradigm does research at such a scale and depth that would not even be feasible with humans,” said Matt Nicosia, Head of AI Operations at Crossbeam. “Paradigm is more accurate than any other solution we’ve tested and was incredibly easy to get up and running.”

With this new launch, Paradigm is now open to the public starting as low as $20/month. Power users can upgrade their plan to access faster and more powerful models or turn on usage based charging for larger agent jobs. All users will have access to swarms of AI agents to gather, analyze, and report on data at a speed of up to 5000 cells per minute – 10000x faster than manual data collection. Tasks that used to take hours or days, like customer segmentation, market mapping, or outbound prospecting, can now run in seconds. The funding round includes a $5M seed round from General Catalyst and $2M pre-seed round from Y Combinator, Arash Ferdowsi, co-founder of DropBox, Harrison Chase Co-Founder of LangChain, Eoghan McCabe, founder of Intercom, and other founders of the world’s leading AI & productivity companies.

“Paradigm is one of the clearest examples we’ve seen of what an AI-native product should look like. It doesn’t bolt AI onto old workflows, it rebuilds the entire interface around intelligent agents that can reason, retrieve, and execute at scale,” said Niko Bonatsos, Managing Director at General Catalyst. “Watching thousands of agents work in parallel to answer complex business questions in seconds feels like a glimpse into the future of knowledge work.”
