American Express Ranks No. 1 Issuer in the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Credit Card Satisfaction Study for the Sixth Year in a Row

American Express has once again been ranked the number one issuer in the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Credit Card Satisfaction Study, marking the sixth consecutive year the company has taken the top spot among U.S. credit card issuers and the 15th time since the study launched in 2007.

The American Express Platinum Card also ranked number one in this year’s study in the Rewards – Annual Fee category. This recognition comes as the company recently announced major updates to its U.S. Consumer and Business Platinum Cards® coming later this year, including enhanced additional dining, travel, and lifestyle benefits.

The J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Credit Card Satisfaction Study measured thousands of consumers’ overall satisfaction with their primary credit card issuers across seven key factors. Among credit card issuers, American Express claimed the number one spot in four of them: customer service, rewards earning, credit card terms, and benefits.
