The Hermitage presents an important update to its virtual visits: now they will be complemented by official audio guides. Currently, the following exhibitions have been launched: "Landscape of the Soul. Caspar David Friedrich and Russia" and "The Fiery Stronghold". The exhibition [url=https://hermitagemuseum.org/panorama/pano_54/?lng=en"The Fiery Stronghold" in the transforming halls of The General Staff building (20 November 2024 — 2 March 2025) told about the creative, scholarly and spiritual journey of the artist, philosopher, archaeologist, writer, traveller and public figure Nicholas (Nikolai Konstantinovich) Roerich (1874–1947). The authors of the audio guide texts are Yulia Denisova, Pavel Azbelev, Marina Kozlovskaya, Marina Chekmareva, Elena Stankevich.
The speakers of the audio guides in Russian are the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Mikhail Chernyak and Marina Gladkaya.
Audio guides are available on any audio-enabled device. To listen to a fragment of the audio guide, you need to click on the headphones icon when viewing the panorama of the hall.
In the future, the number of "voiced" virtual tours on the Hermitage website will grow. If an audio guide was created for the exhibition in English, it will be available in the English version of the website, thanks to which residents of various regions of our planet will be able to make an immersive journey through the museum.
