Channel 4’s new digital comedy channel hits Edinburgh for a live showcase

The performers behind the newly launched unscripted comedy channel, A Comedy Thing by Channel 4 are teaming up for a raucous night of comedy at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The channel will be taking over the Underbelly in George Square for a late-night live comedy special featuring the full ensemble of comedians Vittorio AngeloneFinlay ChristieOlga KochGbemi OladipoMicky OvermanMike Rice and Dan Tiernan leading chaotic antics and games for this one-off showcase event on Wednesday 20 August.

Tickets for A Comedy Thing Live! are available from £5 to purchase now at Underbelly Edinburgh.

Last month, the public service streamer launched its new unscripted comedy channel, A Comedy Thing by Channel 4. The YouTube channel is bringing hilarious games, wild social experiments and crowd work chaos from some of the best stand-up comedians on the UK scene.

The channel, developed by Strong Watch Studios, features the seven comedians competing in various fun formats and games including The Split, Joke Swap, The Front Row, Learning by Numbers and The Lying Game with more to come soon.
